Refund policy
Returns & Refund Policy
We want you to be happy with your order. This policy explains how to return an item or request a refund, and it sits alongside — and does not affect — your legal rights.
Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)
For orders placed online, you have a 14-day cooling-off period starting the day after your order is delivered, during which you can cancel for any reason (under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Once you've told us you wish to cancel, you have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
In this case you'll receive a full refund of the item price plus the standard delivery charge you originally paid. Any optional upgrade you chose, such as express delivery, is not refunded.
Extended returns (up to 45 days)
As a goodwill gesture, we also accept returns of unused items in their original condition for up to 45 days from dispatch, beyond the statutory cooling-off period. A small administration fee may apply to non-faulty returns made under this extended window (your statutory cooling-off and faulty-goods rights are always honoured in full).
Condition of returned items
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- In the same condition you received it — unused and unaltered
- complete with any tags, and in its original packaging.
Items that have been cut to size or modified (for example a pond liner cut to fit, or pipe cut to length) cannot be returned or refunded unless they are faulty, as we cannot resell them or determine whether any damage resulted from use.
If an item comes back with excess wear, missing parts or damage, we may make a fair deduction from your refund to reflect its reduced resale value. We'll always explain any deduction to you in writing.
How to return an item
Please contact us before sending anything back. Email info@apdiscountsltd.com with your order number and the reason for return, and we'll provide a returns reference and the return address.
This step matters: returns received without prior contact can't be matched to an order and may not be refundable.
When returning:
- Use a tracked postal or courier service and keep your proof of postage.
- Include your name and order number inside the parcel.
- Package items securely to avoid damage in transit.
Until we confirm we've received your return, responsibility for the parcel remains with you, so please retain your tracking number.
Return postage costs
Change of mind: you cover the cost of return postage.
Faulty, damaged on arrival, or sent in error: we cover the return postage.
Refunds
Once we've received and inspected your return (usually within 2 working days), we'll let you know whether it's approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, normally within 14 days. Your bank or card provider may take a little longer to show the credit.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have a 30-day right to reject goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
If something arrives damaged or faulty, please tell us as soon as possible — ideally within 48 hours of delivery for transit damage — and include photographs of the item and packaging. We'll arrange a refund, replacement or repair as appropriate.
1-year warranty
We offer a 12-month warranty from dispatch against manufacturing defects under normal use — for example tarpaulin material degradation, heat-weld failures, pipe cracking or plastic splitting.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, improper installation, modifications, or damage from use beyond a product's stated limits (such as exceeding a hose's maximum pressure). Warranty claims require photographs and details of the issue, and are assessed case by case.
If tracking shows "delivered" but you haven't received it
Please let us know promptly. We'll investigate with the carrier using tracking, GPS and any proof-of-delivery photo. Where delivery to the correct address can't be confirmed, we'll arrange a replacement or refund.
Trade & business orders
Orders placed for business use are treated as business-to-business contracts, to which statutory consumer protections do not apply. Returns of non-faulty goods are accepted at our discretion; rights for faulty goods apply under the Sale of Goods Act 1979. Trade customers should contact us to arrange any return.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
